FROGS & SHRIMPS & LOBSTERS

Dreams, as far back as i can remember i was trained and taught that dreams were very important in my life, that they could tell me every thing i wanted or needed to know about life and life on different levels and that one had to learn the significance of dreams in everyday living, so i was taught by many elders how to examine my dreams and latter the dreams of those close to me. I realized as time past that although i may interpret a dream the art of divination into a dream is a life long lesson that i have to learn. And so that is where i am on my frog dreams. However the dream has caused me to ponder, do frogs,shrimps and lobsters dream? If they do and i have no doubt that they do, what do they dream about? Do they have nightmares? daymares ?seamares? landmares? Do they dream of humans as i dream of them? Just think all of these thoughts because of some time at a (LHD-in-wimmin-only-space)

EATING KILLING DREAMS

Since my last visit to this (LHD - wimmin-only- space) i have had dreams dreams and more dreams most of them had to do with frogs. Maybe because of the womon's words that- Buddhist womon who was there about frogs and lobsters and shrimps jumping out of boiling water to avoid the pain of being boiled alive. In one of my dreams i was walking with some other wimmin in a forest like place, one of the wimmin said she could forage for mushrooms so we were following her. We came upon this place where there were a whole lotta mushrooms growing and she was showing us how to tell which ones were poisonous, just as i bent down to look at the mushroom all the other wimmin around me turned to different size and color frogs,and they were flopping around as though they were dying,out from behind some trees came this figure in a long black cloak and as the figure came closer i could see frogs jumping out of where the head and face would have been, but there was no head or face just a hooded space where frogs kept jumping from, the figure kept coming closer toward me and i could feel my heart beat speed up, i thought of the other times i remembered my heart beat getting faster and i got scared that i was about to be killed,not die but be killed, i remember picking up something from the ground and it was a frog leg a bloody frog leg, i started using the leg like a club striking toward the figure that was coming toward me i screamed something and woke up. The first thing i wanted to do was to analyze my dream i did that for a bit, then i wanted someone else to analyze it and then changed my mind, now i want to tell the dream to the wimmin the next time i am at the (LHD-in-wimmin-only space) i think we shall see.

EATING=KILLING?

Well, that was quite an experience being with the wimmin the last time at the (LHD -in- wimmin-only space) event, it was really charged,and here we are again let us see what happens this time. This womon started out with a question, her question. Everybody speaks of a plant based diet being important to us as wimmin and as lesbian separatist dykes and as feminists, i want to know what are your feelings about eating fish and other sea animals? She said she did not think that sea animals felt pain, and that there were so many in the sea that surely that was a sign from the higher powers that it was OK for them to be eaten. Well! now that's something. Well one womon said that there are a lotta humans on earth was that a sign from the powers to be or the higher powers that humans should be eaten? Another womon there said she was a practicing Buddhist and being so made her really examine the concept of "mercy" as an important way of learning how to become a better human being and having a compassionate heart, and this caused her not to eat animals from the sea. She said if we thought that sea animals have no feeling watch how they try to escape from being cooked alive when they have been thrown into boiling water. She said the pain she had watching a lobster or eel being thrown into hot water reminded her of the pain she had when she slammed a finger in a car door, and that did not kill her but to watch the poor animals being boiled to death as they try to escape the hot water made her want to never eat these being again. She felt that their death was worst then being at war, as she said, we know humans can go decades without war but these animals face this kind of death daily and at the hands of humane humans. Well honestly when she finished with what she said i thought to myself i don't think i can look another lobster,shrimp or frog and think of eating them.

FACTS OR FICTIONS?

Here i am again at a (LHD -in-wimmin-only space) One of the wimmin just made a comment and ask for feedback on it.She said that when we wimmin reject the use of animal flesh as a food or rather when we give thought to becoming vegetarians as a way of life we also began to reject wars and the violence of men, and began to examine our dependence on men. A dependence on men that we wimmin often care not to examine for it may cause us to question things we project onto men that we don't want to do or think of doing ourselves, such as killing and killing for food such as thinking,who here is the food us wimmin or the animals killed? We maybe go with the idea the he killed this for us wimmin to eat. I don't think we need men to kill for us to eat,and to act as though we do is our way of giving up responsibility for our role in helping man continue his violence against wimmin and other animals. She also said she knew that many wimmin herself included did not find the thought of depending on someone,in this case a man,to kill for her, for any reason pleasant and that she had never asked anyone to kill for her. I said if i eat the animal that has been killed then i am asking someone to kill for me, since i do have the choice of not eating the dead animal.

FOOD DEATH CONNECTION AGAIN ?

Well the last time i was in a (LHD-in wimmin-only space), the conversations were so intense i questioned myself about coming back to the space. The questions i asked myself were also intense, some of them being why am i so drawn to this space, even though i go away always in a tither? What make me want to come back over and over again to hear these wimmin? Do they really think this way or is this just a head trip? What about myself, am i doing a head trip on myself or on them? do i really think this way? What if this is simply a game that all of us are playing? are we really making changes in ourselves or the world or society? Is anyone listening to us or are we just talking to ourselves? and if we are only doing this for our own satisfaction what is the real point or round to this?

A FOOD DEATH CONNECTION?

As much as i enjoy being in a (LESBIAN HOUSE DINING-in wimmin-only-space) , i do on occasion come away feeling uneasy because of the willingness of the wimmin to talk about anything and everything and they do.The questions asked are always heart rendering and thought provoking. One womon asked, is it necessary to kill in order to eat? I said for some animals i suppose this is so. Then i got to thinking which animals? well cats kill birds and eat them, sharks kill humans and eat them, dogs kill cats but i have never seen a dog eat a cat, that doesnt mean that it does not happen. I went on birds kill worms and eat them, bears kill fish and eat them, so i ask again is it necessary to kill in order to eat? Is it necessary for humans to kill in order to eat? Do other animals kill just to kill and to not eat? Do human animals kill just to kill and not to eat? Is killinng ever justifiable? and if so When? and who does the justifying?

FEMINIST MEAT AGAIN ?

I think that when i have been in situations where blood and bodies are involved,i have acted or re-acted in several different ways and then again the same way, for example, i once saw a car accident where the two people in the car were broken, bloody,mangled and crying out for help i supposed they were crying out for help for they spoke in a language i did not understand, i felt my heart beat began to quicken and my skin became damp, i ran over to the car in time to see one of the people take their last breath and the other one writhe in pain with flesh coming off of her arm, i realized quickly or quickly realized that all i could do was to talk to the womon,while someone called for emergency help, so i talked and talked and talked to her until more help arrived, she kept talking to me until help arrived, her main concern was how her husband was doing of course i did not tell her he was dead.Then at another time i was in a yard working when i happened to look up to see this beautiful brown dog crossing the street, just about the time she was almost half across the street a speeding car came hit her and kept going, the dog was in the streets on her side i feared another car was going to come along and hit her so i walk up to her, her eyes were open and i could see pain in them, i looked at her and begin to talk, and i talked and talked and talked i told her to get up and move and i kept telling her this till she got up and ran across the streets into an empty lot, i realized that my heart was racing and i was sweating like mad. One other time i was painting a house it was school let out time and the kids were going home, i heard a bump, looked up, and there in the middle of the streets lay a little boy and a van next to him, he had run out in front of the van the women who had been driving was sitting in the van shaking, the little boy had the same look in his eyes as had the two other people and the dog, the people were standing there in shock, i took off my blouse and covered the little boy and asked someone to please call for help, i began to talk to the little boy and i talked and talked and talked, help came i found out a day or two latter that the little boy suffered a heart attack and died on the way to the hospital, i never heard what happened to the women driving the van.I realized again how my heart beat quickened and i was covered with my own sweat. The things i most remembered each time was my heart beat and my sweating,and the over powering smell of death. So it was at this moment again i asked myself do lesbian separatists or feminist eat meat?

FEMINIST MEAT?

In a (LESBIAN HOUSE DINING-in wimmin-only space); we assumed (aye there is the problem right there in the language,assume),o.k. we assume that if not all the wimmin who come here are vegetarians the lesbian separatist,radical or not-radical, and the feminists certainly are.Are we correct in this assumption? or are we making as ass of you and me? I must think about this one a bit, i will return.

A FEMINIST? WHAT IS THAT?

Why do we Feminists have to take the brunt of all that is inadequate with women specifically and society generally? This is the question the womyn ask of us who identified herself as a feminist.Why aren't the same questions asked of us not asked of men? Who trained men to act as they do? Who trained women to act as we do?If indeed the habits of men and women are incorrect in terms of the well being of each other, who created these habits? Where did the notions of a womyn's inadequacy come from?certainly not from womyn.Well, said one womyn,i personally don't see why if a women is a feminist, or a dyke or a lesbian matters in terms of what it is that makes us happy,after all i do believe happiness is the only thing in life that is really important, i think that none of us will know the difference in a 100 years.

FEMINISTS? WHAT IS A?

So here we all are talking with each other as we eat a wonder-filled meal of fried tofu, brown rice, kale,green beans,and watermelon, very good meal the wimmin who cook do it very well, and we are doing this of course in a ( LHD-in-wimmin-only space). As we were eating one of the new wimmin ask does anyone here consider herself a Feminist?There were 7 of us there and 3 of the wimmin said yes, 3 others identified themselves as lesbian separatist feminist, the other one identified herself as a radical lesbian separatist but not feminist, I had always identified myself as a lesbian separatist dyke.Then the young womon ask are the ones of you who identify as feminist vegetarians? Evey one became silent, i said i do not identify as a feminist i do identify as a lesbian separatist dyke and i am vegetarian/vegan.One of the wimmin who identified as a feminist said she was not a vegetarian and really did not see what one thing had to do with the other,the other two agreed with her but never stated if they were or were not vegetarians. I said how could you speak of misogyny, violence, abuse, war, feminism, and at the same time not see the connections between being vegetarian and feminist? How can you justify the killing of animals for human consumption and not see how that same justification is used to create just wars, eating and killing animals and killing humans,and, also do you realize to challenge meat eating is also to challenge war and men? What prompts women to eat what they know has been killed by man and renamed to appear as food? What causes women to participate in an act that is so obviously misogynist and violent? What happens to the nurturing aspects of being a nurturer when women consume meat? What happens to a womon who consumes the flesh of a dead animal that causes her to not see what she is doing? Is this an example of renaming by societies ruled by men? Is this an example of women accepting the renaming of self, but not the renaming of self by self? Do feminists have an obligation to all life?,or just some of it,or what? Can one really be a feminist and eat dead animals called meat? So what is this really about? How come so many feminist dont want to talk about food ,or that, that is often call meat?

WHAT'S IN A NAME? AGAIN?

I was in a (LHD-in wimmin-only space) last night,there were several of us lesbian/wimmin in the space.One young womon was very excited about going to a new city to marry her girlfriend of five years, and everyone there seemed very excited for her,in the midst of her conversations she said something that caused everyone to yank their mouths closed,including myself.She said and i quote "you see i am a dog and my girlfriend is a piece of meat".I said i don't get it what do you mean,she said in my country because i am a lesbian they call me a dog, so i figured since i am a dog and dogs like meat my girlfriend has to be meat cause i like her.I asked do you see yourself as a dog? Her response well, that's what they call me so i must be.I said to her because someone gives you a name doesn't mean you have to accept it,most often when someone has a desire to control they will call you whatever to see how effective they have been in naming and controlling you,i also said FORGET what they call you,you do not have to accept it name yourself. She asked why would anyone try and control me i think i am a good womon and i am not out of control, i like girls. One womon in the group said that is why they want to control you to convince you that liking girls is wrong and bad, and that you should not be acting as though you don't know better, and if you don't we will teach you better, first we will rename you, and keep calling you a dog until you are convinced that what you are doing is wrong.Now i said to myself just imagine how many renaming we wimmin have experienced,what do we accept as being real? what have been convinced of that is not real, and not really us? is it really that simple to do an number on our heads bodies and spirits?Who the hell is this THEY? And are we wimmin that easy? And is this what they mean when they say words have power? Some of the wimmin in the group teared-up,the young womon cried, some of the wimmin hugged her, i got pissed off,at who? anyone who tried to control,could i put a face to that anyone? YES.

MEAT &WAR?

Is there a correlation between meat and war? or men, meat and war? What will vegetarians peoples fight over ?for? Do vegetarian lesbian separatist wimmin go to war and for what?What kind of fights or wars will non-vegetarians participate in? What kind of fights or wars will vegetarians participate in Are vegetarians lesbian separatist pacifist? Is it possible to be a pacifist and not be vegetarian? These are but a few of the questions i have a need to ask the next time i am with these wimmin.I met a womon who said to me you know I would love to rebel against the world men have made I just don't know how.I said i started with myself by removing from my brain tape some of the patriarchal messages taught to me by those who hold fast to patriarchal tenets.Some of the first messages i decided to redesign,I do have personal and political value.I am a strong lesbian/womon with a willingness to change my way of being,doing,thinking,I am capable of becoming.

BACK TO FOOD REALLLY?

what does this have to do with(LESBIAN HOUSE DINING-in wimmin- only space)?Well in reality a lot, consider that these kinds of conversations are going on all over the world among vegetarian/ lesbian/separatist/wimmin; when i first heard this comment from a lesbian separatist vegetarian i thought to myself she must be kidding,since then i have had the honor of being in the company of some of these wimmin, and i must say the extent and content of their conversation never ceases to amaze me.(and this seem to always happen when we are together eating in a (LHD-in- wimmin-only space).I have been in other spaces eating with other women, however i have never experienced this kind of conversations with them.It seems to me that the wimmin in a (LHD-in-wimmin-only)have no or few fears about what they speak,and they have a willingness to talk and speak about ever thing, some things i have never heard spoken of before now.One of the wimmin spoke of child birth in terms of creating a child a replica of self(a girl) without the aid of sperm,she called the process parthenogenesis,she then handed me a small book to read if i choose to.Another womon spoke of existing actually living on nothing other that air and a few drops of water daily,she told me she would introduce me to this reality whenever i choose. Another womon said she had to leave because she had to prepare herself for her walking on hot coals session.I questioned myself have i not been keeping up? is this really happening?are they kidding me? are they serious?am i?

We all need it ,how we get it, and what we do with it, what we name it,and how we prepare it,are the things that make it what it is.Did u know that in some parts of the world food and the decision about who gets it is determine by sex,age,race,status;in other words depending on who u are and how u are perceived will be the determining factor on what u get to eat as food,when,and how much,so if u are a lesbian/womon, in this setting u may or may not get food unless there are other lesbian/wimmin, in charge of providing it, then our chances change and everyone getting food becomes a reality.Now on Spelt;ever heard of it ? ever used it?do u know how it tastes? is it sweet? sour? tart? salty?Do u know how or where it is grown? by Whom? why in some parts of the world it is used often? and in other parts of the world few know what it is?Why are some FOODS purposely held back from some,and given freely to others?Do u know that the vedic word for war means cow?What do u think of this one ? and i quote"Wars will never cease while men still kill other animals for food, since to turn any living creature into a roast, a steak, a chop or any other form of (meat)takes the same kind of violence, the same kind of bloodshed and the same kind of mental processes required to change a living man into a dead soldier."Agnes Ryan,"For the Church Door,"March 1943.There are those of us who really believe that when a lesbian/womon practices vegetarianism, she is rejecting (man's)control and refusing to accept the violence inherent in his actions,there are those who say she is rejecting maleness,that is absolutely without truth since many of these lesbian/wimmin,have male dogs,cats, and other animals around them who are male,so it is not maleness that is being rejected,it is (man&men's)control and violence that comes with them that is being rejected

THE POWER OF (LESBIANHOUSEDINING)IN WIMMIN ONLY SPACE

Very fine,we have made some statements about what and how we see (LESBIANHOUSEDINING-IN-WIMMIN-ONLY SPACE).I would like to talk about food and the acquisition of it,the attitude toward it, the growing of it,the attitude about the growth of it,the how it is grown,the acquisition of seeds for growth into food,everything i can get to know and talk about as far as food is concerned,of course not all today. Food,let me start with wheat,rice,bran,quinoa,kewechi,barley,millet,amaranth,spelt,kamut,rye,job's tears,beans of all color,pastas,corn,.u know some of those foods i once did not know existed,through meeting other wimmin in a(lesbianhousedining-in-wimmin-only space),i discovered these foods and have had and still do have a chance to,not only talk about them but find out how to acquire,prepare,and eat them,and then share this information,and time with others.Ti's during this time when we eat and discover new foods,we discover new us,this seem to make the time and the time spent in acquisition and preparation,doors, to new worlds within and without.The opening of these doors with other wimmin and lesbian wimmin is very different then the doors we are encouraged to believe are the ones we are to open as women.If indeed we are the ones who give power to words,then the words we use to describe ourselves must be those we used that are, as we know them power-filled.can i see myself in that description? (a lesbian womon)can i feel or see myself with others of my kind in that description?(lesbian wimmin/wimmin).These are the questions that lesbian separatists have encouraged me to ask and seek responses to,and it is always in a (LHD-wimmin-only space)that this constant seeking and learning around food that is plant based happens.Have u ever tasted or prepared quinoa?We were introduced to quinoa by a Peruvian lesbian womon who came into our lives many moons ago.Her gentleness in introducing us to this wonder-filled grain has left an impression on us that is now an integral part of our own attitude when we introduce foods that are plant based to those wimmin who come and who as we all are mentally poisoned to believe if we don't eat (meat)we die.

LESBIANHOUSEDINING POWER?

OK.since we accept that we each have power or rather each one of us has power,then it seems to be a reality tis a matter of how and when we use it.in a (Lesbianhousedining-in wimmin only space)we use the power we have to remind ourselves that this space is about lesbian wimmin who have chosen to b vegetarians,(some just for the moment) ,lesbians, (some with little or lots of awareness about lesbian culture),maintain this space as a space open to wimmin-only,(understood as a real need by some and some who don't understand the why of it).we decided that no (meat)will be prepared nor served in this space,that this space will be (men) free,that(money)exchanges for food or other services will be entirely left up to the wimmin who come(some wimmin are ok with this others question the sensibility of the idea),we have also decided that we will discuss any topics that come up between us with the idea being that we can talk to each other.

THE POWER OF MEAT,MEN,MONEY

Four new wimmin joined us today,they told us their mission was to help us become more aware of the real world, the way the real world operated,and how to gain success in it.One womon said once we realized that (money),had power,and that if we really looked at successful (women) and (men) we would see that the amount of them who were first ,(vegetarians),was nil,this being so indicated that we were fooling ourselves or rather playing with ourselves to really believe that (men),(meat),and(money),has no power in and of themselves,unless we give power to them,they ask us to think of powerful people and see who and what we came up with,and that we would naturally come to the realizations that power like it or not was not ours,that we were simply spending time in useless discussions.Well now hows about that. um,powerful people let me see,we are in a ( LESBIANHOUSEDINING-wimmin-only space)so powerful wimmin are all around me so i said when i think of powerful people,i thought of all the wimmin sitting with me right here, then and there,not one of us said o no i am not with power i am powerless so i must have quote"naturally come to the realizations "that power is ours, to have ,to hold, and to love doing what we wanna do with ,this is a discussion in what?is it Power? or the Power of?

THE THREE M's

Well my brains have rested abit.when do brains rest?how does the brain show herself at rest? or what is the indicator or indicators that show or signify the brain resting?When we left off last time we were talking about the third divide of the 3M's (men).i thought hard about the womon who identified herself as a lesbian separatist,and what she said about the giving over of power,so i decided to ask her this question,in a (LHD in wimmin-space),how and when do we give vent to discussion as a tool for learning?and,when or what subjects are to be viewed as taboo?Her response;" in and especially in a (LHD in wimmin-space) discussions of all kinds need be vented and used as tools for learning.There are no subjects that are taboo.When is attention to the subjects given is probably the most sensitive issue,since, when the discussion no longer gives way to understanding then for the moment the subjects must be put for now on the back burner, however the placing of the subjects on the back burner must be acknowledged and another time set need be established."Well that sounded sensible to me,and i do want the other womyn who identified themselves as lesbian separatists to rejoin us and will extend an them invitation

MEN TAL IMPINGEMENT

Mental impingement keeps going through my head.Well if its mental i suppose my head is where it suppose to go eh.what is mental impingement?is that anything like when we are constantly told that women is the way to spell wimmin and we become convinced that that is it the only way to do that? or that we must eat (meat)in order to be healthy?or that (money) equals success?or(men)are to be honored and looked up to?well i certainly can see mental impingement,but when is there no mental or any other impingement's?so to get back to where we were, i asked the womon who had called herself a lesbian separatist,her thoughts about the third of the divides that we were talking about (men).what she said surprised me and i quote" i do believe you are accurate when you speak of the 3M's as the three divides,however i think that the divides are the tools of women and wimmin who use them as such,i think that they in and of themselves have no dividing power over us until we allow that to happen". i asked are u suggesting that (men),(meat)and (money)have no power in and of themselves unless we give it to them?"Yes"exactly.well now my brain needs quiet

WORDS OF POWER OR CHOWDER

well now the chowder was good,did cool us down a bit,however we must begin again,never again just begin.(LHD-in wimmin-only space) is the place to come to terms with all that is dyke,lesbian and dyke and lesbian centered.we place all that is a concern or concerns on the table,we agree to at least talk, sometimes loudly,sometimes quietly, sometimes slowly ,sometimes rapidly,nonetheless we talk,often this talking leads us to not talk to each other for awhile, to sometimes seek solitude which allows us to digest,assimilate,absorb,eliminate, all of this is absolutely necessary to bring us back to the table,to begin anew the talking.Now with that said let us go on to the next divide of the 3M's those M's that divide us wimmin.We talked about (meat)and(money)and now we talk about(men).When we said this three wimmin got up and announced that if this was to be the next subject we discuss they would leave,because they could not see the need to bring (men)on any level into our conversation and especially in a(LHD-in wimmin-only space).I told them that of course t'was their choice to leave if they wished,however i asked them to consider,when we were talking about (meat)and(money)they did not leave,so what is it now that makes leaving so important?did they fear talking about (men)?I also noted that indeed the 3rd divide was working should they choose to leave.At this one of the wimmin said we are (lesbian separatists),and find the discussions about (men) impinges upon our mental space,and is particularly inappropriate in this space.I asked what better space to clear the air on impingements on mental space and to become more acquainted with the tenets of (lesbian separatism),at this point one womon agreed to stay the other 2 wimmin left.At this place i said well see the divide seems to be accurate

WORDS OF POWER

O.K. tis time to eat ,our conversations is becoming warm again,warm? hum.What shall we eat now to cool us down a bit before we go into the third of the 3M's?well corn is a good food for when we are warm and need some cooling down so how about Corn Chowder? u will need 2 Onions,chopped,3 small potatoes, cubed,1 clove garlic chopped, 1 Cup chopped;celery,bell pepper,mushroom, 1 Tablespoon parsley,saute all in small amount of canola/olive oil.1/2 teaspoon paprika,1 teaspoon salt,1/8 teaspoon pepper,1/3 Cup water/stock, add to saute and simmer for 10Min's.,corn from, 4-6 ears,3 Cups soy milk,1 teaspoon honey or raw sugar,2bay leaves,add to above,simmer 25minutes, remove bay leaves and serve.now u can use can corn however off the ear is tastier,use your rice/potato stock whenever possible instead of water,and remember to save the stock from your veggies when u cook them.Now that should cool us down as we began another conversation in (LESBIANHOUSEDINING-IN WIMMIN-ONLY SPACE)on the 3M's,for now let us eat and enjoy.

well must say ?that the thought of humans giving power to words sounds good but this lezzie womyn said the other day to us to think about this one,if indeed humans give power to words in order to feel power,how does one give what one does not have? if humans can not feel power how can they give it?she then spoke of illusionary power and gave as an example the power spoken by those who see themselves as the mighty,those who believe that the killing of animals is theirs because of who they think they are,the same ones who believe the killing of any group of any animal,human or not is their because of who they think they are,another womyn said she thought the discussion of the killing of animals was a development of radical lesbians who were as bad as any mad man( O MY GOSH THERE IS THE 3 DIVIDE THE 3M's),because they in her words make every effort to poison the minds of wimmin,and that the very act of spelling the word wimmin instead of women is an example of that effort

meat is that really a name,so how come the word is used only to refer to non-eatable animals,like horsemeat,dogmeat,catmeat? when do u hear the words cowmeat,pigmeat, goatmeat,chickenmeat,sheepmeat,calfsmeat? Don't know that i have ever heard it call that,i wonder if its because one would not want to eat the flesh off of a cow pig goat sheep or chicken,so if we drop the name of the animal away from the flesh it helps in the appeal to convince us that this is really food?u know you will not find the word cowmeat in the dickshonary, u will find cow meat two separate words wonder why? So does renaming the animal make it meat?How about this cowmeat becomes steak,hamburger,chuck,and a zillion other names.Chickenmeat becomes just chicken please do not add the word meat to it if the desire is to get people to see it as food,sheep become mutton,pigs become pork.So whats in a name?In a (LHD in wimmin-only space)we have to talk about this and make the absence of meat a reality.

THE REMOVAL OF MEAT

It seems to me that in all (LHD'S IN WIMMIN-ONLY SPACE) the removal of (MEAT)is absolutely necessary in order for that space to operate efficiently and safely with the interest of the wimmin who come or who will come being the most important issue at hand.we know first of all that MEAT is a symbol of the patriarchy,we know first of all that VEGETABLES are perceived by the patriarchs as a symbol of feminine passivity.How does this happen o u know when u want to show how strong or virile someone or thing is ,or u want to make something or someone appear that way u quote beef it up,get to the of the matter, meat of the matter,on the other the liveliness of VEGETABLES is diminished by making them appear to be dead, the vegetative state is example of this.Look at how the language is changed to support these ideas,instead of sandwich its manwhich,instead of shero no hero sandwich yes, hearty veggie stew no manhandlers yes,tis obvious that the whole idea of animal eating reflects the bias of masculinity.Now this being so doesn't it behoove us in a (LHD in wimmin-only space)to at least make an effort to strive toward the removal of the 3M's that divide us ? you know i read somewhere right now cant remember where,that,a patriarchal culture will make things and others seem unreal by renaming them,an example of this is calling dead butchered animals by a name other than what they are that name is MEAT,after all who wants to eat a dead cow goat chicken or pig we all know that we cannot eat MEAT without the death of an animal, we all know that when we eat animals we must change the way we refer to them or talk about them babies become veal,lambs,and an assortment of other exotic sounding words,have u noticed when a woman has been raped she might refer to herself as feeling like a piece of MEAT? now think about that one.is she saying she feels butchered?slaughtered? these are the words that are used to keep us colonized,trained,polite, nice.
